About the Artist
Sammi Scott is a Fine Artist based in York. Although primarily a landscape painter, she is always interested in new investigations of both subjects and media. Her personal colour sense is of prime importance and this is particularly exploited through the richness of both oil paints and inks.
Sammi Scott is a painter who enjoys experimenting with mixed media. Her work complements her studies into History of Art. After completing a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Distinction), BA History and Philosophy of Art (First Class Honours) at the University of Kent and MA History of Art (Distinction) at the University of York, she is currently undertaking study of a PhD in History of Art at the University of York.
